World Architecture Day
Design Works celebrates our incredible architectural partners.

Today we join the global architecture community in celebrating World Architecture Day, created by the International Union of Architects in 1985. This year’s theme — Design for Strength — calls on architects and designers to go beyond short-term solutions and create built environments that can withstand, adapt, and be rebuilt in times of crisis.
Strength in design means more than durability. It’s about resilience, sustainability, cultural sensitivity, and ensuring our communities have places that protect, support, and inspire — especially in moments of disruption.
At Design Works, we believe that design only works when it works for the communities it serves. Over the past year, we’ve been proud to collaborate with incredible partners to bring this vision to life. Together, we’re not just designing buildings — we’re helping create continuity, equity, and a stronger future for the people who rely on them.
As the challenges facing our cities evolve, so too must our solutions. By designing with strength and resilience at the core, we can build environments that don’t just survive crises, but help communities thrive through them.
