Design Works Engineering's Vancouver office delivers integrated structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering for clients building across Metro Vancouver. We're licensed with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), fluent in the Vancouver Building By-law (VBBL) and the City of Vancouver's permitting process, and embedded in the local construction community — so your project is engineered by people who know the ground it sits on.

Structural Engineering

From wood-frame infill to high-rise concrete towers, our structural team designs efficient, code-compliant frames for Vancouver's full range of building types — including seismic and post-disaster requirements specific to the Lower Mainland. We work directly with architects and contractors from massing through shop drawings, sealed under EGBC.

Mechanical Engineering

HVAC, plumbing, and process system design tuned to Vancouver's coastal climate and the BC Energy Step Code. Our Vancouver mechanical engineers size heating, ventilation, and domestic water systems for wet West Coast seasons, mild winters, and the energy-code requirements that come with them.

Reserve fund studies, due-diligence inspections, and condition assessments for Vancouver buildings. Backed by our purpose-built BAR platform for consistent, defensible reporting that lenders, insurers, and strata councils accept.

Sprinkler, standpipe, and special-hazard system design coordinated with our mechanical drawings. We engage Vancouver Fire Rescue Services early to keep code interpretations clean and inspections on schedule.
