Revitalizing Urban Landscapes: The Peak Residence Conversion
The Peak Residence in Edmonton is nearing completion!

We are thrilled to announce that the transformation of the former Enbridge building in Edmonton, Alberta, into the Peak Residence is nearing completion, with tenants expected to move in just a month! This project represents a significant shift from corporate offices to a dynamic residential community, complete with 250 modern units and commercial opportunities on the main floor.
At Design Works Engineering, our team spearheaded the mechanical and electrical design, ensuring that every aspect of the building supports sustainable urban living. We're excited to showcase each unit's stunning views as construction wraps up.
Why Convert Offices to Residential?
𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆: This method utilizes the existing building's shell, significantly reducing material waste and the carbon footprint associated with demolition and new construction.
𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Incorporates advanced mechanical and electrical systems tailored to residential needs, which are more energy-efficient and improve indoor air quality compared to older commercial systems.
𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆: Leverages existing urban infrastructure, which minimizes additional public investment and aligns with smart growth policies.
𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: Breathes new life into underused properties, boosting local economies and increasing property values.
𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴: Provides more housing options in urban areas, promoting diverse and vibrant communities.
Congratulations to Paul Aulakh on this endeavour!
