NWP Wolves Women's Hockey — Design Works Centre

Design Works Centre in Grande Prairie will serve as home ice for the inaugural NWP Wolves Women's Hockey team — Design Works Engineering celebrates this milestone for Northern Alberta athletics.

Exciting to see the momentum building at the Design Works Centre as Grande Prairie prepares to welcome the inaugural Northwestern Polytechnic NWP Wolves Women's Hockey team beginning Fall 2026. ????

Today, Haydar Al Dahhan, P.Eng., P.E., IntPE, APEC, MIET was on site to see the new centre ice logo and celebrate this exciting milestone alongside the City of Grande Prairie and Northwestern Polytechnic. The addition of women's collegiate hockey to our region is a huge step forward for local athletics, student opportunities, and community engagement across Northern Alberta.

As a company founded in Grande Prairie, it's meaningful for Design Works Engineering to be connected to a facility that continues to support community growth, recreation, and the future of sport in the Peace Region.

Congratulations to the City of Grande Prairie, Northwestern Polytechnic, and everyone involved in bringing this vision to life. We're looking forward to the Wolves hitting the ice for their home opener in October 2026. ???
