Ty holds the position of Executive Vice President of Project Development at Design Works Engineering, where he has contributed his expertise for over four years. His journey into the engineering sector was preceded by a significant tenure in construction, accumulating more than a decade of experience across a variety of projects in the commercial and industrial realms. Ty has also managed extensive, intricate multi-use development projects, highlighting his proficiency in both project and business development within the construction industry.

Beginning his career as a project coordinator, Ty's relentless drive and commitment saw him ascend through roles of increasing responsibility, including lead coordinator, project manager, and eventually, Director of Business Development at prominent CM/GC firms. His extensive experience working in both unionized and non-unionized environments has endowed him with a comprehensive understanding of the construction and project development sectors.

At Design Works Engineering, Ty is renowned for nurturing a culture of teamwork, ensuring strategic objectives are not only set but achieved, all while overseeing performance and boosting team morale. His exceptional communication skills and dedication to client service significantly enhance the execution and outcome of projects under his leadership. Additionally, Ty contributes his insights and leadership skills to the YBG and is an active member of the ECA.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Ty cherishes spending quality time with his family and his 20-month-old son. An avid golfer and snowboarder, he takes full advantage of the seasonal activities, hitting the golf course in the summer and the slopes in the winter.
