Robert Andrew Punzalan joined Design Works Engineering as an Electrical Drafter in May 2021 and has since contributed to electrical design across commercial, residential, and industrial projects, producing comprehensive electrical layouts and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit. A licensed Electrical Engineer with a degree from Adamson University, his background before Design Works spans both design project work and hands-on facilities maintenance.
He began his professional career with an internship at LonWorks Technologies Inc., managing motor control panel wiring, installation, and troubleshooting, before joining MSUS102 Electrical Engineering Services as a Project Engineer. In that role, he delivered tailored electrical system designs for commercial and residential buildings, prepared detailed cost estimates, and oversaw projects from design through site completion. He then moved to Golden ABC, Inc. as a Facilities and Maintenance Engineer, carrying out preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, elevators, backup generators, fire pumps, data center infrastructure, FDAS, and CCTV networks, and leading the maintenance team in daily operations and safety inspections.
That field and maintenance background, covering the systems that electrical designers specify but often never see after handoff, sharpens the practical judgment he brings to his drafting work at Design Works. He is proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, and Microsoft Office, and his project work spans multi-sector types from high-density residential to heavy industrial developments.
