Kim Bejo is a Registered Electrical Engineer and Registered Master Electrician who has been leading electrical design at Design Works Engineering since June 2019. Working across Canadian projects in multi-unit residential buildings, commercial complexes, office spaces, and hospitality developments, Kim develops comprehensive electrical design packages spanning lighting layouts, power distribution systems, auxiliary systems, and detailed single-line diagrams.
A distinctive part of the work at Design Works is the use of Dialux for advanced lighting simulations and photometric analysis, applying that tool to optimize illumination levels, energy efficiency, and occupant comfort across project types. Work in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for BIM and 3D modelling is paired with close coordination with architectural, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure electrical systems integrate cleanly into the overall building design. Drawings are reviewed and revised against client feedback, site conditions, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Before joining Design Works, Kim worked as a Project Engineer at Racatech Builders Corporation in the Philippines, overseeing onsite operations, preparing electrical layouts, load calculations, and single-line diagrams for residential and commercial buildings in accordance with the Philippines Electrical Code. Prior to that, a technical support role at Zenith International Inc. involved surveying existing electrical installations, conducting product training, and supporting testing, commissioning, and installations.
That background spanning both the design office and the construction site informs how Kim approaches drawing quality and constructability. Qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Adamson University, a Registered Electrical Engineer designation, and Registered Master Electrician certification.
