John Jevin Dingding
,
SENIOR STRUCTURAL DESIGNER

John Jevin Dingding leads structural design supervision at Design Works Engineering, where he oversees drafting production, BIM coordination, and team delivery for projects across Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, and the territories. He is a Licensed Civil Engineer with more than ten years of structural experience, and his specialization runs deepest in two areas that demand both technical precision and close coordination with fabricators: modular construction and mid-rise residential structures.

His career began at Cebu Structural Design Solutions in 2014, where he spent eight years delivering structural design and drafting for North American projects, developing particular depth in modular construction work across a range of scales and building types. He joined Design Works in 2022 as a Structural Design Supervisor, bringing that modular expertise into a firm that regularly delivers complex prefabricated and multi-family projects.

The modular side of John's project portfolio includes the Nicomekl Elementary modular school in Langley, British Columbia; the Modular Transitional Housing project in Toronto; a 30-unit multi-residential building in Hay River, Northwest Territories; modular support facilities at Thompson Rivers University; the Durham Modular Supportive Housing project in Ontario; and modular work for PSVLAB in Alberta and the King Williams Street Housing project in Hamilton, Ontario. On the conventional side, he has contributed to apartment developments in Beaumont and Edmonton, commercial retail projects in Ontario, and mid-rise condominium work in Toronto.

His technical toolkit covers Revit, AutoCAD, ETABS, RISA, Enercalc, Forte, and Woodworks, and his code knowledge spans NBCC and CSA standards for Canadian projects alongside seismic design considerations for higher-risk regions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (Cum Laude) from the University of San Jose-Recoletos.
