David Shesniak is an Intermediate Electrical Engineer-in-Training at Design Works Engineering, with experience delivering building and infrastructure projects across Western Canada. His background spans electrical design for schools, multi-unit residential buildings, tenant improvements, municipal infrastructure, and coordination on multi-disciplinary projects.

His project experience includes K to 12 school buildings in Alberta, townhouse developments, transit garage renovations, RCMP detachment renovations in Saskatchewan, and park lighting projects with the City of Edmonton. He contributed to a bundled program of six schools, leading the design on three and coordinating remote and in-house team members on the others as part of a consultant team formed by Ellis Don. He also supported a large healthcare project in Ontario, collaborating with the Toronto S+A team, Mulvey & Banani, and Plan Group on power distribution design.

Earlier in his career, David worked at Morrison Hershfield (now part of Stantec) on municipal streetlighting and public realm projects, completing lighting design in AutoCAD and AGi32 to Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) guidelines and ANSI/IES standards. His broader experience covers building electrical systems, reserve fund studies, and early-career work in British Columbia across restaurants, offices, light industrial buildings, and residential developments, where he built a strong foundation in lighting design and the application of the National Energy Code, ASHRAE 90.1, and BC Hydro standards.
