Work Underway at Castledowns Pointe
Permits have been granted to restore and revitalize a long-standing building in the Castledowns community

Work is progressing at Castledowns Pointe in Edmonton’s Castle Downs neighbourhood. Led by Harmani Investments and AMRIK, the project marks an important step forward in restoring and revitalizing an existing residential building that has been a long-standing part of the community.
Situated on a 2.15-acre site, Castledowns Pointe consists of an existing four-storey condominium building totaling 91,528 square feet, with 83 residential units and 131 parking stalls. After years of uncertainty, the project is focused on strengthening the building, improving performance, and bringing the property back into safe, long-term use.
Design Works Engineering is supporting the project with a full multidisciplinary scope, providing Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Modelling engineering services.
The rehabilitation of Castledowns Pointe involves careful structural reinforcement, upgraded building systems, and performance improvements aligned with modern safety and efficiency standards.
This project is being delivered in close collaboration with Dualita Architecture and KNN Construction Ltd., whose expertise has been instrumental in moving the development from assessment and design into execution. Together, the project team is focused on restoring confidence in the building while ensuring durability, safety, and long-term value for owners and future residents.
As work nears an end, Castledowns Pointe stands as a strong example of how thoughtful engineering, design, and construction can bring new life to existing buildings—supporting community stability while making responsible use of existing housing stock.
