The Best Designs Come From Curiosity
The best designs don't come from textbooks or software

A quick message to young engineers just starting out:
The best designs don’t just come from textbooks or software — they come from curiosity. Ask questions. Walk the site. Listen to contractors. Sit with clients. Every detail you notice and every perspective you learn from makes you a better engineer.
Early in my career, I learned that engineering is less about having all the answers and more about knowing how to find them. Don’t be afraid to admit what you don’t know — it’s the first step to real growth.
And remember: what sets you apart won’t just be your technical skills, but your ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and stay adaptable.
To the next generation of engineers: we need your ideas, your passion, and your energy. The future of this industry will be built on your shoulders.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
