March is National Engineering Month in Canada - Engineers Open Doors

Design Works Engineering celebrates National Engineering Month 2026, highlighting how engineers create opportunities and solutions across communities.

March is National Engineering Month in Canada

This year's theme, Engineers Open Doors, resonates with us.

Over the past 12 years, Design Works Engineering has opened many doors. The door to a first home for residents of a modular building that took 9 months to complete, instead of 16. The door to a converted office tower that now houses 140 families. The door to a greener commercial building that uses 38% less energy than code requires.

Engineers don't just design buildings. We create the conditions for other things to happen — businesses to operate, communities to grow, buildings to perform better and last longer.

As we close out #NEM2026, we're proud of the doors our 16 offices have opened this year — and looking forward to the ones ahead.
