Big news in Fredericton!

Lemont House in Fredericton has officially received heritage and building permit approvals.

A major milestone for Lemont House at 605 Queen Street.

We’re thrilled to share that Lemont House in Fredericton, NB has officially received heritage and building permit approvals, paving the way for this landmark’s next chapter to begin.

Built in 1882 and granted heritage status in 2022, this Second Empire Style structure sat vacant for years—at risk of being lost to time. Thanks to the vision of State Street Properties and strong support from the City, the building will soon be reborn as thoughtfully designed residential units that honour its architectural legacy.

Design Works Engineering is proud to be delivering civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and rendering services for the restoration. We’re excited to move forward and see this local icon come back to life.
