Boyle Renaissance - Phase II

Project Description

The Quarters is Edmonton’s primary downtown urban renewal project.  Encompassing 18 city blocks, this long term revitalization will make a significant impact on the downtown community.  One of the guiding principles in The Quarters Downtown Urban Design Plan is to incorporate sustainable neighbourhood design principles.  The opportunity for Boyle Renaissance is to set the tone for future development in the area.

The Boyle Renaissance Project is an integrated multi-partner multi-year inner city redevelopment of the area between 95 & 96 Street and between 103A Avenue and the LRT line in Edmonton, Alberta.  The project has created a significant number of new housing units to accommodate a variety of populations and to construct new facilities to accommodate a variety of social, recreational and educational services for the community.

Phase 2 was developed on the block fronting on the west side of 95 Street bound by 104 Avenue on the south, 105 Avenue on the north and the existing alley on the west.  The new building will include 90 units of affordable housing to accommodate constituents from the partner organizations.  Main floor commercial/retail space accommodates a variety of health-related services, and there will be one level of underground parking.
